The City of Corpus Christi Development Services Department will be welcoming plumbing industry professionals from around Texas as the City hosts the 60th Annual Conference of the Texas State Association of Plumbing Inspectors (TSAPI). The event will be held from Monday, June 11, 2007 through Thursday, June 14, 2007 at the Bayfront Plaza Hotel, 601 N. Water Street.
A highlight of the conference and a photo opportunity for the local media will take place aboard the U.S.S. Lexington Museum at approximately 6 p.m. Tuesday, June 12, 2007. At that time, conference attendees will meet on the flight deck for a group photograph before having dinner aboard the museum.
The conference will also offer a series of training seminars, which will provide participants with valuable information on the latest advancements in the profession. As part of the educational experience, the Texas State Board of Plumbing Examiners will have a working cross connection trailer, which will provide demonstrations from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. on Monday, June 11 in the parking lot at the hotel for the conference registrants.
The mission of the TSAPI is to promote closer cooperation between the Plumbing Inspector, the property owner, builder, craftsman and the municipality, and to lend every possible aid to the improvement and protection of a sanitary environment in the community.
